Good afternoon everyone!Posted by Administrator
I hope this week you made it a priority to spend at least 30 minutes in God's Word each day; if not start tomorrow morning. Give Him the first fruits of your day and you will be amazed at what happens!
You will experience a new level of His grace.
By the way, that's what we will be talking about Sunday...grace.
It truly is amazing! Check out what Paul has to say about it in Ephesians 2:4-9. Notice, grace is not something we work for. It's not something we get because we deserve it. And that's a hard concept to grasp. After all, we live in a world that constantly tells us the harder we work the more we earn. The fact is grace is a gift and boy oh boy do we need it! And we need to give it.
I don't know about you but it seems to me people are lot less friendly these days; a lot less patient with each other. The next time you're out on the road take a good look around you. Watch how people drive! Or the next time you're in a restaurant pay attention to how folks talk to each other, how they talk to their waitress. Look around you at the shopping mall, at the office. Pay attention to how people act and you will see what I mean. Rudeness and crudeness seem to be the new norm.
It's one thing to see the world act this way but when it's a follower of Christ it's even worse. We should be as eager to receive grace as we are to give it.But sometimes it's just not that easy...right?
Well, Sunday is still a couple of days away so why not begin praying right now for a great outpouring of His grace. Pray He will meet us there; transform us from the inside out so in turn He can use us to help transform our families and community.
Have a great weekend!
Pastor Alan
P.S. Why not bring someone with you this Sunday; someone who needs to hear that God really loves them...someone who needs to experience the unforgettable touch of His grace. Who knows, God might very well use you to help change someone's life!
